You nailed it, Walter. I never had to take the Praxis because I started teaching before it was required. I did have to take writing test when I moved to Minnesota, this after teaching English for 3 years. Geez. What a waste of $50 that was. And then there is the aspect of making money for the Educational Testing Service who promotes all this nonsense.
