Woodworking is a hobby of mine. I appreciate a beautiful piece of wood, whether in furniture, a floor, a carving, or what have you. I have even bought pieces of wood I found (cherry, black walnut, etc) that I figured I would use at a later date on something. I agree. Do NOT paint the wood!
