Wonderfully written (and thanks for the mention). The U.S. is the poster child for not learning from history. We just keep going around in circles. Or maybe we are swirling down a hole and will disappear. I have often wondered it, instead of attacking Afghanistan and Iraq, Bush would have said "we forgive our enemies" instead and worked toward addressing their grievances with the U.S. I wonder how different things would be.
