When someone says they are "color blind," they are doing the same thing as people who say "there are good people on both sides." It is a denial. They are saying they don't want to think about it. No one is truly color blind, and no one treats the any 2 people in exactly the same way. Saying you are "color blind" is like saying you don't notice how old a person is.
