What we are seeing is a reckoning of our buried past. This country was founded on stolen land, built with slave labor, and those who experienced success often did so at the expense of others. The suppression of so many people over the life of our country is ending. Those people will no longer just sit back and take it. Those who have benefitted from it don’t want the country to change, but it will. There is no going back.
