What the US population doesn't seem to get is that they are trying to fight a GLOBAL pandemic with local strategies. They can vaccinate every single person in the US, and there will still be transmission from people from other countries to the vaccinated. Right now there are 125,000 confirmed cases of vaccinated people being infected. The vaccines aren't foolproof. But hey, let's dump the masks, have a beer, and pretend.
