What is missing in statements about America's greatness is a definition of "greatness" itself. What constitutes "greatness?" How is it measured? What is the criteria being used? What is the second greatest country, if the US is the greatest? Without a working definition and some measurable criteria, calling a country "great" is nothing but a mindless expression of nationalism. It is meaningless.
