How to get me to read your work

I see a lot of pieces written about how to be successful on this platform. In fact, it is a rare day that I don’t see one. After writing here for almost four years, I mostly don’t read them. I used to, and then I discovered the people writing them really don’t know any more about it than I do.

Every once in a while though I will click on one just to see if I can glean any new ideas. That almost never happens though.

New writers have been asking the same questions for years. Why aren’t more people reading my articles? How can I get my writing in front of more people? Should I submit my work to publications?

What tags should I use? How often should I write? Are my titles catching people’s eyes?

Should I write about a broad array of topics, or just find my niche? Why did only 42 people view my article and only 23 read it?

If you have asked yourself any or all of the above questions, welcome to the club of being a writer on Medium. Anyone who has written more than a couple of articles has wondered why more people aren’t reading and responding.
