We (or at least some of us) have been trained to be outraged all the time about everything. Road rage. Rage on an airplane. Pulling a gun at Starbucks. Going off on whoever whenever you feel the slightest bit of frustration or anger. Rage, rage, rage. Rage against the machine. Where is the outrage? I see it in my students. When in a conflict, they don't talk it out or use a mediator, or just let it go. They go from zero to 10 right away and let the fists (and other stuff) fly.
