This benefits people who write, but don't read. These are people who really aren't a part of the community of writers. They swoop in wanting to cash in on their "side gig" but without having any skin in the game. They don't read any one else's work. They are just hoping someone reads theirs. If everyone did what they do, no one would get paid.
