There is nothing unusual or wrong with revisionism. It simply means to look at again. Slavery would have ended anyway, with or without Lincoln and the Civil War when industrialization made slavery impractical and more expensive. As for people languishing in slavery, were they so much better off under Jim Crow and the KKK? My point is that Lincoln’s greatness is in part illusory. You are, of course, free to disagree.
