The standard of living has been eroding for decades. Young people are bearing the brunt of much of the "bad" economy today. Already saddled with college debt, they now look at the outrageous costs of houses and cars and realize they will never have the standard of living earlier generations did. I bought my house 6 years ago and it's value has gone up so much there is no way I could buy it today. Cars? I am keeping my 2008 Camry and driving it until the wheels fall off. I just got back from the grocery store. Don't get me started on that. And the cost of simply going out for dinner with my wife has gone up about $10-$15 from just a few years ago. Neither party is going to fix this. Running into the arms of Donald Trump is not going to make this better.
