The other day at my part time job, a guy completely flipped out when he was asked to scan his drivers license and take a selfie so a third party could apply facial recognition software to make sure he was the same guy as the drivers license. The idea is to keep people from renting expensive equipment with stolen credentials and then not return the tools. He shouted obscenities for well over 20 minutes throughout the process.
