The last time we heard this cry was in 1920 with the campaign of Warren G. Harding. "Return to normalcy" was his campaign slogan, and it ushed in an era where the KKK was at it's peak, a time of false prosperity that resulted in the Stock Market Crash of 1929 and the Great Depression.
