The CDC lost its credibility when it sat idly by while Trump lied about the virus. They are just another political tool. I take what they say with a grain of salt now. .01% is one out of a thousand, right? .02% is one out of 500. That is how many people died from COVID. So .01% is no big deal, but .02% is?
