Sometimes writing more has the opposite effect. Of the 5 months so far this year, May is the month I have published the least (only 7 articles) and it will be my second highest-earning month. In January I published 24 pieces and this month I will actually make more than I did then, despite having written 17 fewer articles. I think publishing less often actually makes your readers hungry for your stuff, whereas if you publish often they start to take you for granted. Just my 2 cents.
