So much about Medium is unknown to us as writers. The question I have is if there are outside views of my work, how are these people finding it and reading it if Medium is a subscription service? I know nonmembers get 5 free articles, but that means my work is being used as advertising to lure in paying members. If that is the case, then I think some compensation is in order.
