Should Trump get elected, there will be a push toward Christian fundamentalism, but I think it will be tempered by the backlash of the Democrats. My guess is not much will change, at least not for now. The overturning of Roe v Wade was supposed to be a big victory for the Christian right, and yet abortion rights are still very much a thing. The U.S. is like a big freight train. You can steer it a little to the left or a little to the right, but it is too big and too fast moving to make any changes in direction.
