Sadly, I think the future of the House and Senate is tied to Biden/Trump. People voting for Trump are not going to vote for Dem reps and senators. While AOC did the right thing with the articles of impeachment, as you said, too little too late. If Trump wins, I can see Thomas being paid off to retire so Trump can appoint another Thomas who is 45 years old. Ditto with Alito.
