I teach in a school that is 98% African-American and 100% poor. On April 26 we will reopen. Our students have the choice of being online or in class. I am tasked to teach both at the exact same time. How am I supposed to teach online using my computer and simultaneously teach the kids in my room? Water fountains are closed. One student at a time can use the bathroom. There will be staggered class dismissals to keep social distance. No textbooks are allowed. Students have to be spaced 6 feet apart and everyone must wear masks. Students cannot even share pencils. What part of this is a return to normal?
