No question that they waited too long to hold the hearings. The question is whether it was by design. After all, if you want to make sure nothing comes of it, kick that can down the road and wait until everyone is bored of it, which is where we pretty much are now. At this point, I think the hearings are a waste of time, and that is exactly what those in charge were hoping for. Otherwise they would have to do something.
