My first wife was a Black woman from Jamaica and I am a white man. Our son is mixed. He does the same thing. He can be "white" when it is to his advantage and Black when that suits him. He has learned to navigate both worlds. He has my German last name and a friend of his once told him he has the whitest name for a Black guy he has ever heard. LOL
