Most of my students couldn't read one. What I found disappointing is they didn't even want to learn how to read one. A young woman I know who is in her 20s asked me what time it was. I said it was "quarter to seven." She told me she hates when older people (?) tell her time that way. People her age want us to say 6:45, not "quarter to seven."
