Medium Day

You are all invited and I would be flattered if you come

By now you have probably heard that Medium is hosting “Medium Day” on Saturday, August 12th. A few weeks ago I received an email from Medium asking if I would be willing to be a featured speaker. I was surprised — shocked, really- and flattered, and agreed to contribute in any way I can.

To that end, I will be offering the following sessions:

Writing the Memoir: Tips and Tricks, from 7PM-7:30PM ET

Building Your Audience (for new writers), from 8PM-8:30PM ET

To be absolutely transparent, I have no idea what to expect, and my guess is neither does anyone else. This is the first time Medium has attempted something like this that I am aware of. Personally, I would much rather be talking to everyone in a coffee shop or quiet pub, but this is what we have.

There could be 100 people in my session or just you and me. In either case, I will do my best to make it worth your while, and I would love to see the smiling faces of the people I “know” on Medium. No RSVP is needed. Just come as you are. And be sure to register if you haven’t already.
