Love the John Prine reference. I too have spent much of my life without a TV, other than as a small child when TV's were relatively new. I still remember begging my parents to buy a color TV when they came out. Now, with a flat screen and more than a hundred channels to choose from, along with streaming movies, I rarely turn it on. My life is quieter for doing that.
