It makes complete sense to me. Unless you are an auditory learner, reading the class lecture notes sounds like a more efficient way to get the same content. That goes for online learning and recorded lessons as well. The U.S. is so stuck on being there in person when it is simply unnecessary. Look no further than the big push to get everyone back to the office in the midst of a pandemic.
