In those schools that insist on opening, they will put up a brave "we-can-do-this" front for the first few weeks. By October it will be a shitstorm. Not only will kids and teachers get sick, but so will clerical staff, food service personnel, bus drivers and janitors. And then the kids will be bringing it home to their parents and grandparents. This has the potential of being the worst health catastrophe since the Black Plague. I laugh when the proponents of opening use the mental health of children argument. They are the same people that whine about having to have counselors and social workers in the schools.
