In Haley’s defense, I don’t think any of the GOP candidates would have said anything much different. None of them would have mentioned slavery. DeSantis criticizing Haley is precious when we consider how he has governed in Florida. Trump sure wouldn’t have mentioned slavery. Ramaswamy probably didn’t know there was a Civil War until he Googled it. And this is the party some people want to lead our country. We’re doomed.
