If there was no Electoral College, there would be no toss-up states. What is the point of anyone in, say, Alabama voting for Harris? Trump will win it bigly and those who voted for Harris might just as well stayed home. The same is true for Trump voters in California or New York. The real culprit in our election chaos is that antiquated Electoral College.
