If she made a over $1 million, I'm not sure I would agree is wasn't worth the loss of employment. At $42,000 per year, she would have had to teach for 24 years to make that. Someone making $20 per hour makes close to that with no education. Maybe raising teacher salaries to a livable wage might be a good place to start.
