I went to a Catholic elementary school in the 1960s where the nuns spanked, slapped, and humiliated us on a daily basis. Most of us were terrified most of the time we were there. I remember a nun breaking a pointer stick when she was swatting a girl in my 2nd grade class. I remember a boy drinking out of a baby bottle because he was a "baby" for not doing his homework. The kids with the lowest grades sat in the "dumb bunny row."
