I went through a similar experience when my first wife and I divorced in 2009. Her goal was to completely erase me from my son's life so that the child no longer recognizes you as their parent. It's called the "parent alienation syndrome." Fortunately for me, the bonds between my son and me were too strong for her to break, no matter how hard she tried.
