I was raised in the north, so I never had any foods like this until I enlisted in the Army. In South Carolina at Fort Jackson we had cornbread, collard greens, ham hocks, pigs feet, black-eyed peas, chitterlings (chitlins), grits, and sweet potato pie. Love love LOVE this cuisine.
