I was in the Army from 1976-79. What I learned about life I could have learned just about anywhere. There was nothing special about it. I am amazed how everyone seems to think "boot camp" is the answer to everything from weight loss to writing to, well, whatever. The military is good for some I suppose. For me? I got the GI Bill which paid for my BS.
