I remember listening to the father of Timothy McVeigh when McVeigh was being executed for blowing up the Federal Building in Oklahoma City. He said that he didn't know Timothy McVeigh. He only knew "Timmy." He drew a line between the son he knew, and the monster he had become, and he spoke with grace and class.
