I know this terrain well. My former wife did everything she could to keep me from seeing my son, and from 2010 to 2011 I only saw him once, even though they lived 10 minutes from where I was. He finally realized his mom wasn't being honest with him. She had told him I didn't want to see him. When he discovered the hundreds of unanswered text messages on her phone from me asking to see him, he understood what happened. Today we have a wonderful relationship, though I have no contact with his mom at all.
