I just finished teaching an entire year online. I had no discipline problems. I had no students who were suspended. I would make the counter argument: online learning in many ways is superior if the infrastructure is in place (laptops, connectivity, etc). In-person learning could be used to tutor kids who struggle online. But let's get to the REAL issue: parents don't want their kids at home because they need a babysitter.
