I have a small piece of tape on my computer that says QTIP. That stands for Quit Taking It Personal. It keeps me centered when I am getting angry. It reminds me that nothing the students do is aimed at me. They are kids and I am an adult. Lone teachers are not going to solve the problems created by the larger society we live in.
