I grew up hating country music. Then, in 1981 I was a migrant worker in northern Washington state picking apples, and the only radio station was a country station. By the time I left 3 months later, I loved it. I am a 63 year old white guy from northern Wisconsin. Know what? If you look on my playlist, you will see a number of rappers that most people would never dream of me listening to. Musical taste is only marginally related to our ethnicity.
