I flew for my first time in the 1970s and I cannot believe how much flying has changed. It used to be pleasurable. It was fun. Meals were included. Your loved ones could see you to the gate. There was no extra charge for luggage. You could even smoke in the back 3 rows. Now? Honestly, I don't plan to fly anywhere unless I absolutely have to. It sucks.
