I find this ironic. The kids and parents clamored loudly for a return to the school because they were sick of each other at home. Parents were sick of trying to make their kids do the work virtually, and the kids were tired of being at home. As a result, we were all forced back into brick and mortar buildings before it was safe. "Learning loss" was manufactured to compel obedience. Those who called BS on it were labelled unprofessional and traitorous. And so we are back at the same ol', same ol. Why? Because no one wants to be outside the box. My job is more like it was in 1987 than it is different.
