I don't spend any time thinking about that. What I write is mine, and if someone is a character in it, it is still mine. If something might be of a sensitive nature, I might muddy the waters by changing the names, and in some instances not writing it at all if it would be embarrassing to that person. Still, what I write is my story I am telling. If someone else wants to tell it, they can join Medium and do exactly that.
