I am in my 35th year of teaching. We just went remote because 20% of our district staff is out sick with COVID. Our district has a vaccine mandate. A lot of good that did. I contracted COVID in the final week of school before Christmas, this despite being vaccinated and wearing an KN95. I quarantined for my Christmas break. Wonderful. I didn't really get a Christmas break. I get more of a "sucks to be you." Unless something dramatically good happens in the next few months, I will be resigning at the end of this school year.
