I always find it ironic that the people on TED talks, etc, always talk about teaching but never actually do any of it on a day-to-day basis. Putting on a 45 minute "dog and pony show is easy." Teaching students all day long, day after day, is an entirely different enterprise. I agree that teachers need good communication skills, but their job is to teach, not entertain. Quick question: how long have you been teaching?
