I agree with you with one exception. Billionaires spend a lot of time and money destroying the alternatives. How many small businesses close when a Walmart, Home Depot, Target, or other large business moves in? Many localities don't have a small supermarket and are forced to shop at the chains. Billionaires are good at limiting your choices to them.
