I agree with you. The reason the wealthy are pushing to defund the IRS is because that will make it harder for them to audit the wealthy. In other words, they profit from their mischief. Trump is the poster boy for this. The IRS doesn't have the staff to go after tax cheats like him and instead goes after people like us in case we made $75 we didn't report.
