GREAT topic. There are a number of things going on here in addition to childbirth. When we get older (trust me on this one) our metabolisms slow down. I weighed basically the same from age 25 to age 50, and then suddenly another 10 lbs snuck in even though I ate the same. Then another 5 lbs. Losing weight has become more difficult, even though I am active. Part of looking good is choosing the right clothing. You won't catch me working outside shirtless like I am pretending to be a tanned, buff 25 year old construction worker. Not anymore. I agree that society is MUCH harder on women in this regard, but no one is harder on you than you yourself.
