Excellent. I teach in the hood and 100% of my students live in the hood. I've had 5 students murdered in the last 2 years. These are kids who have lived the trauma of growing up and seeing their parents, friends, and relatives killed or incarcerated. There is no way I can explain who I teach to anyone who has not been in the hood long enough to know how it works. It's a foreign world to most people.
