At my part-time job they have a thing called the "Homer Fund" that we all contribute to. If someone has a medical situation they can apply for a grant to cover the expense. If this store just provided health insurance for everyone there would be no need for this Homer Fund. The Homer Fund is just poor people helping other poor people.
