Agreed. Much of what passes for his greatness is simply misplaced pity for being shot. Bay of Pigs was a disaster. His plan for Vietnam was vague. The Cuban Missile Crisis almost destroyed mankind. He did almost nothing on civil rights. And he was only president for 3 years.
